Doodle Workshop

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

Doodle Workshop collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Progress stays on your device, and purchases go through Google Play or the App Store, never through us.

What we collect

Nothing. Doodle Workshop does not collect, store or share any personal information.

  • No accounts, sign-ins, names, email addresses or photos.
  • No ads and no advertising IDs.
  • No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services, and no third-party code that collects data.
  • No chat or contact with other players.
  • No location, camera, microphone or contacts access.

The game plays fully offline and never sends anything to us. It only goes online when you buy a book, and then only to Google Play or the App Store.

What stays on your device

The game saves a few things on your device so you can pick up where you left off: levels solved, stars and challenges earned, the doodle you play as, and settings such as language, theme and sound.

This stays on your device. We never see it, and deleting the game deletes it.

Purchases

Book 1 is free. Later books are one-time purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions.

  • The store handles the payment. We never see card numbers, names, email addresses or other payment details.
  • The store tells the game which books your store account owns, so it can unlock them and restore them on a new device.
  • The store sends us sales reports for accounting and taxes: order number, date, book, price, and the buyer's country, region and postal code. We use them only for that, never to identify or contact anyone.

Your purchases are covered by the store's own privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy or Apple Privacy Policy.

Children

Doodle Workshop is made for all ages, including children under 13. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for a child to share with us. This follows the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK GDPR, and the Google Play Families policy.

Buying a book always goes past a parental gate: a question for a grown-up, followed by the store's own purchase confirmation. Parents can also turn off or limit purchases in the store's parental controls.

Test versions

Early test versions, shared with invited testers, keep a play log on the device: which levels were tried, how many tries and how long they took. It holds no names or other details about who played.

The log is never sent automatically. A tester can choose Menu > Export play log and share it with us themselves. The released game has no play log.

To join a test, people can ask for access with the form on this website, or by email. A request keeps the email address, whether they want to play on Android or on the web, the language of the page and the date. For Android, that email (their Google account’s) goes on Google Play’s tester list. We use these only to give them access and to write to them about the test, and delete them when testing ends.

Testers playing on the web can send us feedback from the game. We keep their message, an optional rating, their invite’s name, the game version, the kind of device and the language, only to improve the game, and delete it when testing ends. Testers on Android send feedback through Google Play, which is covered by Google’s privacy policy.

This website

This website has no ads and sets no cookies for visitors. To see how it is doing, its server counts page views and clicks on the Android, Web and Ask for access buttons and whether the access form was opened and sent, with the country (worked out from your connection), whether you use a phone, tablet or computer, and which site sent you. To count each day’s visitors without cookies, it mixes your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day into a scrambled code. The code and that value are deleted the next day, so a visit can’t be traced back to you or linked to another day, and your IP address itself is never stored. Our own visits and bots aren’t counted. The counts stay with us, in Cloudflare’s database for this site, and are never shared. Its scripts only remember whether you picked the light or dark theme (that choice stays in your browser), open screenshots full size and turn the slides. The test version at /play/ is only for people we invite. It asks for the invite code we gave you. We keep a short name for each invite, so we know whose it is, and count how many times it opens the game and on which days, to see who is testing; nothing else about you is recorded. It sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days, and the game keeps your progress in your browser and sends nothing to us. Like any website, it is served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which handles the requests that load its pages.

Deleting your data

Delete the game to remove everything it saved. We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. If you asked us for test access, write to us and we will delete your request right away. Purchase records are kept by Google or Apple under your store account.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top. If the game ever starts collecting any information, we will say so here first.
